2012 Tiguan SE fuel Question

Just got a 2012 Tiguan SE 2.0 TSI and the Dealer said that becouse i live at 9000 ft that i should run 85 fuel. The higher fuels will not make any difference up here. Will it hurt the car? What does everyone think?
